DESCRIPTION:NM Precision Flying 2023 / Starmoen May 25th – 28th. \nAir Sports Race is a competition in which a team (pilot + navigator) flies a given route at a given speed. The route contains a corridor that participants must stay within. The route has a clearly defined start and finish passing point that participants must pass at specified times\, in addition to several known and unknown timing checkpoints. Participants are judged based on whether they can stay within the corridor and pass the timing checkpoints at the specified time. After the finish passing point\, the team must navigate through a “minefield” on their way back to the airport\, and the landing after the navigation ends is scored live. This year there will also be a separate landing competition. \nAir Sports Race is flown with a crew of two people (pilot + navigator). The team with the fewest points after the flight wins.
